CTA Buses Are Involved In Accidents Every 36 Hours

An ABC investigation revealed that a CTA bus is involved in an accident once every 36 hours. The CTA claims that many of the accidents in the report were the fault of the other drivers, not necessarily the CTA bus drivers.

According to the report, nearly 500 people were injured in CTA bus crashes in 2014 alone. Most of these cases do not make headlines, but the accidents that involve serious bodily injury or death often do.

In June of 2015, a CTA bus crashed into a pedestrian and vehicle at the intersection of Lake Street and Michigan Avenue during rush hour after it ran a red light. The accident resulted in the death of Aimee Coath, 51, of Flossmoor, Illinois. This terrible tragedy brought attention to the scary reality of CTA bus accidents.

If you or a loved one was injured in a motor vehicle accident or an accident involving a CTA bus, it is important to contact an attorney about your rights.
