In Romeoville, Illinois, the intersection where Weber Road and Taylor Road come together was the site of a deadly accident. The crash took place right around 5:15 in the morning. The man who was killed was the driver of an SUV, and that vehicle was run into by a minivan.
The SUV was on Taylor, going east, and the driver was just trying to turn at the intersection so that he would be driving on Weber. The minivan, which was southbound at the time, then slammed into the SUV. Because of the way that it was turning, this meant that the van hit the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the accident, and they took the SUV’s driver to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. However, by just 6:08 in the morning, the officials there declared that he had passed away. The man’s wife had also been in the SUV at the time of the crash, and she was taken to the hospital along with him. According to officials, her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
While police did detain the driver of the minivan, they have not said if there are any charges that will be filed at this time. They are still doing their investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
One of the most trying times in a person’s life can be when a personal injury to themselves is coupled with the loss of a loved one from the same accident. In these cases, if they were not at fault in the accident, the monetary support that comes from compensation for the medical bills, while not easing the emotional pain, can help to reduce stress.
