90-year-old dies in fatal car accident in grocery parking lot

A woman was hit by a car while in the parking lot of a grocery store, and she passed away as a result. The fatal car accident happened in Mount Prospect, Illinois, and it was in the parking lot for Jewel-Osco. She was 90 years old.

According to the police, the accident happened right around two in the afternoon. The woman did not die instantly, but was taken by the emergency crews to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where the staff worked to save her life. However, by 5:19 p.m., she had passed away. An autopsy to determine the exact cause of death was set up for the weekend.

The driver of the vehicle who struck her was also elderly, as she was reported to be 88 years old. As of the report, it had not been indicated whether or not she was going to face charges or citations for her role in the accident. It was reported, however, that the driver of the car did not suffer from any injuries.

The Major Accident Investigation Team, a division of the Mount Prospect Police Department, is currently looking into the situation and carrying out their investigation.

There are many medical expenses that can come about regarding emergency treatment, even if the doctors are not able to save someone who has been in an accident. When anyone is accidentally killed in this manner, the family needs to be aware of their rights throughout the entire process. They must know what they can do to be compensated so that they do not have to deal with the medical bills and other expenses, along with their grief at the untimely passing.
