Apparent DUI accident kills 2 in Illinois

An alleged DUI accident has taken a pair of lives in Illinois, and the driver responsible has now been charged. The woman, who is 27 years old, also got a string of citations from the Illinois State Police, including those for using lanes improperly, passing improperly, driving too quickly and too close to other vehicle, transporting alcohol illegally and not having insurance.

Falls remain a common cause of workplace injuries in Illinois

Falls are often cited as one of the most common reasons why workers are injured in Illinois and elsewhere, and a look at recent reports shows that this remains true. For example, the reports from 2009 indicate that as many as 212,760 workers fell and suffered from serious injuries as a result. In the same year, a full 605 workers died as a result of injuries suffered in falls.

DUI accident in Illinois leaves young woman paralyzed

A woman in Illinois was injured seriously in a car accident, and she has been forced to use a wheelchair ever since. Among other injuries, her pelvis was crushed in the crash, she developed a blood clot near her brain, and she was trapped in the car. There were three other people with her -- including the driver -- who were able to get out of the vehicle.
